Dr. Achyut Ashok Khandekar

Dr. Achyut Khandekar is Director - Cath Lab and Consultant in Cardiology at Care Hospitals, Nagpur, where he has been working since August 2010.

After completing his MBBS from Government Medical College in Nagpur, Dr. Khandekar obtained the DNB qualification in both Internal Medicine as well as Cardiology, from the P D Hinduja National Hospital & Research Centre in Mumbai.

As Senior Registrar of the ICU at Hinduja, Dr. Khandekar got an opportunity to work in one of the best ICU setups in the country. Later as Clinical Associate (Cardiology), he gained experience in the non-invasive Cardiology unit of Hinduja as well as in the wards. Subsequently a stint at Care Hospitals, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, as Chief Resident of Cardiology gave Dr. Khandekar first-hand experience of invasive cardiac procedures, including primary angioplasty.

At the start of his career, Dr. Khandekar worked as Chief Medical Officer at the Primary Health Centre in Pombhurna, maharashtra and Chief Physician at the Railway Hospital in Virar.
